The reporter in me!

After having a conversation with my husband and my brother last night, I am rethinking about some additional items that I can add to Shannon Hage Photography. I spent nearly five years of my life in a television news room. I loved being a producer and most of all reporter, having the opportunity to share the lead story of the day with our viewing audience. I still have that looming desire to tell a good story; but now, that desire is without"if it bleeds it leads" as my guiding motto; meaning- less violence, chaos, crime/punishment, and more happiness, love, clarity and what truly seems to matter in life!
I believe that my photos are more than just a great pose and a click with my trigger finger. I never stop clicking. My favorite moments are those that are captured and between the poses.

So, with that, I am going to make sure that my clients get their story told thru the eye of my lens but also a narrative describing their photography experience ( thru this once roving reporter's eyes).

Addison is 2

I am really beginning to see some beautiful people on a regular basis!

You would not believe how much fun I am having. Addison is a gorgeous two year old who walked up to me and said "Hello," and followed it up with a hug.

Her personality is as vibrant as the colors on her tutu and matching shoes!

The Marton Beauties!

As I started my business, I had a contest to give away a free photo shoot! I had the most amazing subjects in the Marton Sisters! Riley, 2 and Kaiya was around 7 or 8 months.

I became my photographer's photographer!

Gary Helland is an amazing photographer! He has a gift for catching the beauty of his subjects while they are celebrating life. Gary was my wedding photographer. He snapped so many beautiful pictures of our day! So, when Gary asked me to take pictures for him, photos that he had hoped to use for his book and other marketing materials, I was completely HONORED!

Avery Ellis, 6 Months

This little guy was so adorable! I love that age when a baby becomes a little curious person! Avery was so fun to take pictures of. He had great expressions, a lot of smiles and very loving parents!

What I have been up to lately!

Busy is an understatement. For all of you who don't know, I also work a full time job in addition to being Savannah's mommy, Rick's wife and your photographer!
So, updating this blog has had to sit simmering on the back-burner for months and months and months!
So, as promised, I will begin to update more frequently.

B.Belle Couture

We brought in our fabulous Baby models for this photo shoot. B.Belle Couture is a local baby clothing and accessories company. Their line features onesies, headbands and bows, amazing booties and shoes, and gorgeous diaper covers and shorts!

Mom, Audrey, was a sorority sister of mine and man do she and hubby make some gorgeous babies.

Mike and Jess are Having a Baby!

I got to know Jess a little in college and ecstatic when she asked me to take some maternity pictures of her! Here is the gorgeous mom to be at 37 weeks!! She is stunning and glowing like you wouldn't believe! Her husband Mike is so supportive and helpful!

Introducing Asher Hake!

Asher is the brand new addition. He is a gorgeous baby and looks just like his daddy... and possibly his big sister!

A few weeks later, we took some family pictures. Outdoor photos in the Summer in Arizona makes for a quick and sweaty photo shoot, but this family hung in there and kept smiling!

Busy Bee!

Things around the Hage Household are never without lots of activities! We have been busy watching our little baby girl grow up right before our very eyes, but also snapping a lot of pictures for some pretty amazing people!!
I finally have my own little work station set up and I am so excited to be able to get snippets of my work to you all a little faster!

Hi there! Life has brought me so many blessings over the last couple of years. I am a loving wife and a new mommy. I have learned that anything worth doing is best accomplished with faith and a lot of love. I have two passions, my family and photography. I most enjoy photographing the intimate moments outside of the pose setting-the loving glances, the mischievous smiles- the true story behind each photograph. I am a former television news reporter and believe in capturing the story as it happens and as I have learned from my beautiful subjects, happiness happens. Below are some of my recent pictures. Here is Hector, 5 years old, on his first day of kindergarten. Look at those eyes!

Savannah Noel~ Being a new mommy means I can take as many pictures of my little girl as I want. Below are some of my faves!

Kate, 2 years old, enjoys some back yard twirling and skipping around. Her beautiful eyes made my job easy! She is such a pretty little girl.

Gianna, 8 months old here, is a vivacious baby. She enjoyed this session as much as we did, I think. She has such a vibrant personality and was easy to have fun with as I took frame after frame!

Baby Timmy, 6 weeks old here, has such striking features and a laid back ease about him. He has beautiful parents who love him to bits!

Baby Jack and his blue eyes. This adorable little bundle is 6 weeks old and only had eyes for his mommy! His eyes are so expressive for such a tiny little guy! He was so much fun!

I have had the privilege of know Conner, 2 years old, since the day he was born. I have watched him grow into a little boy. He was full of energy during this shoot. He had zero interest in the camera, and that made for some fantastic shots!

Kortni is by far the most beautiful mommy-to-be I have ever seen. Here, she is just under 8 months pregnant with her second baby. She is stylish and sophisticated. A Glowing mommy!

Conner, a few weeks old here, and Ella, just a tick under 2, are gorgeous siblings! I had the privilege of capturing these two beauties while visiting them in Boise. They are the apple of their gorgeous and extraordinary mother's eye and it was an honor to have this time with them.
